Tech Rodeo Round-Up
Resource Type: Archived webinar
Topics: Internet and Web, Technology, Library Electronic Resources
Come hear participants discuss their experience at the NLC Tech Rodeo, an immersive learning event held as part of the scholarship program administered by the Nebraska Library Commission. Throughout the Rodeo, students had the opportunity to learn more about specific aspects of technology used in libraries by working in groups on projects concerning library-related trends and issues. By learning through doing, participants developed their skills not only with specific hardware and software; they also enhanced their learning skills, and were able to practice some of the "soft" skills – team-building, group dynamics, project management – that are so important in the 21st Century workplace. This event was made possible by a 21st Century Librarian Program grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.
