Off the RAILS! The Rubric Assessment of Information Literacy Skills (RAILS) Project at UW Bothell

Presentation given at the ACRL NW Pack Forest Conference 2011

The UWB/CCC  Campus Library participated in the first year of Megan Oakleaf’s, RAILS project, investigating  how rubrics can be used by librarians and faculty to assess information literacy skills. We will discuss the project’s findings, our experience using rubrics, and share ideas for best practices in conducting sustainable IL assessment projects.
