Speaker's Bio/Recent Trainings
Daniel has over ten years of professional library experience, with expertise in reference, library technology, electronic resources, and staff training. He has developed and led training for ILS migrations, designed websites for libraries, and coordinated integrated access to electronic resources. He has presented at library conferences and led many library training sessions, and in 2005 traveled to Kyrgyzstan to lead seminars on a librarian exchange through the World Affairs Council.
Recently, Daniel has been working with Serials Solutions and WebFeat to develop federated search solutions for public, academic, and special libraries. He has worked with statewide consortia to plan and implement federated search sites, designing custom interfaces and integrating electronic resources with websites for in-house and remote access.
Daniel has a particular interest in financial literacy, with training as a business librarian and financial planner. He enjoys group and individual discussions about finances, budgeting, and retirement planning, with both library staff and patrons.
