About the Event
Professors Pehrsson and McMillen teamed up to develop a searchable database http://bibliotherapy.library.oregonstate.edu currently containing 600 titles) to help in evaluating materials for bibliotherapeutic work with children and adolescents, finding evaluated books for certain age groups and issues and learning more about the use of books in therapy. The project was most recently featured in an article in the Spring 2007 issue of Terra, the OSU research magazine http://oregonstate.edu/terra/ As well as presenting a retrospective, the speakers will discuss their plans for the future of the Project.

Dale-Elizabeth Pehrsson, OSU associate professor for counselor education, and OSU associate professor/social sciences librarian Paula McMillen will discuss their 7-year collaboration on the internationally recognized Bibliotherapy Education Project.
