Fri, 04/27/2007 - 2:00am - 3:30am
About the Event
The broadcast draws from presentations made during a forum on issues that face LIS programs and their impact on practitioners, held during the Seattle ALA meeting in January. The webcast examines ideas that ensure that library education programs remain vibrant and are responsive to the needs of practitioners and is hosted by Richard Dougherty. Guests will include Dan O'Connor, chair of ALA's Committee on Education (COE); John Budd, president of the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE); Jan Sanders, director, City of Pasadena Public Library; and Janice Simmons-Welburn, dean of libraries, Marquette University.
