Speaker's Bio/Recent Trainings
Heather McNeil is Youth Services Coordinator for Deschutes Public Library. She is also a third-generation professional storyteller, and has represented the United States at international storytelling festivals in Scotland and New Zealand. Heather is the author of two collections of folklore, based on collecting stories in Kenya and Scotland. She has chaired intellectual freedom committees for the Mountain Plains Library Association, Colorado Library Association, and Oregon Library Association. She has presented keynote speeches, storytelling entertainment, and all sorts of workshops at conferences throughout the United States.
