About the Event
With libraries providing more computing access to patrons, it is important to know how to use and be able to share the free tools that are available on the Internet.
Google offers Google Docs, which is their on-line form of documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms, drawings, and tables. Sign-up for a Google account and these are free to users, along with the many other products Google offers. Google Docs allows you to store many different types of files and only those not created in Google Docs count against your storage space. Any time you have access to the Internet you have access to Google Docs.
The user has the option to keep the documents private to his account or to share them. Each document and each folder can be shared with specific people or it can be made public for anyone to view. This makes it easy for people to collaborate on a project as well as share information.
Learn how to use Google Docs at this FREE webinar sponsored by the Montana State Library BTOP project.
