About the Event

Welcome students, reluctant readers, and comic book fans back to school with graphic novels. Josh Elder, founder of Reading with Pictures, will discuss the Graphic Textbook, a new initiative tying comics to the curriculum, and an exciting digital-comics lending program for libraries. He will be joined by representatives from ABDO Publishing, Graphic Universe an imprint of Lerner Publishing, and VIZ Media, who will introduce graphic novels for both the classroom and independent reading.
